About animal species

Sea animals feel, communicate and want to live.

Fish and other sea animals are more intelligent than many people realise. They communicate through sounds, body language or even light, can navigate remarkably well, and live in a world that is far richer than we often see from land.

About sea animals.

The stark contrast.

What they need

Sea animals need space, clean water, social contact, rest and the freedom to swim, navigate, communicate and express natural behaviours.

In the fishing industry

Farmed fish often live in dirty, overcrowded tanks, where they may suffer from painful parasites such as sea lice. Wild fish are pulled from the water in enormous numbers.

This has to stop.

The number of fish we kill every year is almost impossible to comprehend. These are individuals. Each has their own personality, emotions, a unique experience of the world and a desire to live.

0 The counter is based on an estimate of 1.6 trillion fish — 1 trillion equals 1,000 billion — caught from the wild each year (scientific article). Fish killed on fish farms and victims of bycatch are not even included in this figure.

Protect sea animals

Sea animals communicate, navigate, feel and respond to their world. When we see them for who they really are, it becomes difficult to reduce their lives to fish or shellfish on a plate. Let’s leave these beautiful animals alone by choosing plant-based.
